INVESTMENT BANKING
Investment Banking works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors, and governments and are team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.
Our Capital Solutions Group (CSG) executes, originates and structures financing transactions for our clients. The team works closely with wider CSG colleagues (Investment Grade Syndicate, Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, Derivatives) and classic investment banking as well as the associated product/sector groups to execute transactions. The team is responsible for advising Korean/global corporates, financial institution and sovereign-related clients for their businesses and investments in Korea and globally, across debt/equity financing, liability management and strategic financing solutions with full spectrum of capital and investor bases including GS principal.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES
Our Analysts and Associates play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Their responsibilities include creating and analyzing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, helping manage transaction processes, and assisting in structuring transactions. They will gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications and marketing skills.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-6 years of relevant work experience in capital markets / product groups
- Support the origination, structuring and execution of asset financing transactions across a broad range of asset classes, including infrastructure, real estate, fund financing and other asset-backed financing opportunities.
- Support the origination, structuring and execution of structured credit and equity financing transactions across a broad range of corporate and sponsor financing activities
- Knowledge of a broad spectrum of financing solutions spanning broader debt capital markets, bond issuance, loan financing, asset-backed structures and bespoke capital solutions.
- Knowledge of Korean corporate landscape and financing market dynamics is preferred.
- Fluent in both Korean and English at a professional level.
- Well-rounded academic background from a top tier institution
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical orientation, with experience performing financial and valuation analysis in Excel or comparable spread sheet tools
- Understanding of transaction cycles and the steps in the process
- Demonstrate maturity to work with all levels of professionals across the firm and external clients
- Possess good judgment to make quick and complex decisions
