GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS

Global Banking & Markets provides financing, advisory services, risk distribution and hedging for our institutional and corporate clients through our FICC and Equities (“GBM Public”) and Investment Banking (“GBM Private”) franchises. 

SUPERVISORY RISK & CONTROLS 

The Supervisory Risk & Controls team within Global Banking & Markets (GBM) manages controls covering supervisory-related risks arising from business activities in the Global Banking & Markets (GBM) division. The team partners with businesses to implement controls, support ongoing monitoring and oversight, as well as related supervisory tools to manage risk.

 

We are looking for an individual to support the expansion of the program to cover business activities in GBM Private, focusing on the Capital Solutions Group (CSG). 

 

Our Capital Solutions Group is a comprehensive suite of our financing, origination, structuring, and risk management solutions. The depth and breadth of our relationships, enriched by the velocity of our deal flow, provide clients unique insights to maximize value and unlock opportunity. Our integrated structure is built to provide comprehensive, tailored solutions that propel both our issuing and investing clients forward.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of Capital Solutions Group (CSG) business activities 
  • Support the development of the supervisory framework for CSG business activities, including appropriate desk controls, monitoring & tools 
  • Define and implement appropriate controls to manage risk, including supervisor expectations and escalation 
  • Support governance processes to drive monitoring & oversight for the covered controls 
  • Build relationships with relevant stakeholder groups to implement the program, including bankers, Compliance, Engineering, Legal and others, as relevant 
  • Engage with GBM Public side teams to drive consistency across the divisional supervisory program and related monitoring 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience 
  • Prior knowledge of banking activities including financing, origination, structuring & underwriting preferred. 
  • Familiarity with securities markets, derivative products, deal flows.
  • Strong time and project management/organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to handle a fast-paced environment; communicate factually and influentially.

 

Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
