About the role
As a Back Office Money Movement and Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for the oversight of cash flow processes, including wires, ACH, checks, and internal transfers. You will play a key role in ensuring timely task completion, identifying areas for enhancement, and effectively escalating any discrepancies or issues. This involves checking payments, matching them to general ledgers, and resolving payment-related issues in collaboration with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Understand basic banking concepts with an emphasis on cash flows of money movement processes: incoming/outgoing wires, outgoing ACH, outgoing checks, internal transfers, and suspense breaks
- Perform thorough checks of payments and reconcile them against general ledgers, promptly escalating and resolving any identified discrepancies
- Interact effectively with various firm-wide stakeholders, including Risk, Compliance, Legal, Treasury, and Technology, to resolve payment issues and implement improvements
- Complete assigned casework, manage queues, and generate reports within specified Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Escalate critical issues timely and confidently communicate with upper management regarding tasks, processes, and potential improvements.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of banking operations, including check payments, wires and ACH
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a risk and control mindset, consistently taking ownership and accountability for tasks and projects
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible, capable of prioritizing tasks and performing effectively under pressure in a team environment, including adapting to occasional overtime
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in banking, payment, wire transfers, or cash movement within an operational or banking environment
Job Shift
Operating hours are Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 8:30 PM CT. Your specific shift will vary within these hours. Weekend availability may be required in the future.
Location
Openings are available in Richardson, TX, and Draper, UT. This role operates under a hybrid working model, requiring three days per week in the office. Full office attendance may be required in the future.
