Your Impact:

The Identity and Access Management business unit within Foundation Engineering is looking for an experienced risk manager to fulfill the Technology Risk Officer (TRO) role.  The role of TRO is primarily to be a trusted advisor to Business Unit (BU) leadership in all aspects of risk and to understand, in detail, the risk profile of the BU. The TRO will also be a subject matter expert in their BU and able to understand the associated challenges and nuances. The role is focused on risk identification, triage, ranking, dialogue, and remediation. 

How will you fulfill your potential?

  • Partner with Technology Risk, risk program owners and other TROs in a collaborative manner to help manage risk in a consistent and transparent manner and provide challenge within and across BU’s where required
  • Be a culture carrier, role model, and risk champion within their BU
  • Provide risk-based input to the technology strategy for their BU
  • Help with awareness and prioritization of risk related work programs within their BU and across BUs
  • Work with other TROs to identify risk mitigation opportunities across the division
  • Identify risks within their BU that may have a broader impact and escalate these to appropriate risk oversight groups to allow for roll-out of firm-wide programs as appropriate
  • Measure and challenge BUs on the performance of their risk management, other agreed mandates and priorities
  • Define and influence strategy for driving compliance / achievement of agreed risk reduction efforts throughout BU
  • Provide an analytical focus when reviewing metrics / programs etc. and be comfortable to delve into details to gain further understanding and review at the relevant level of detail
  • Assist and guide team members during internal and external audit engagements

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 6+ years’ work experience successfully driving projects
  • Must have experience in coordinating work across multiple disciplines or organizations and be adept at building consensus across organizational and functional lines
  • Must have experience with managing client expectations and communicating effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to translate business requirements into a project plan which includes all milestones, dependencies, and resources; manage the execution of the plan
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Highly organized, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Atlassian Jira products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Should have knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles.
  • Technical grounding, i.e. prior grounding in application development and / or technology infrastructure
