THE DIVISION:
Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.
Private Wealth Management (PWM) Operations team is seeking an Associate to join the Client Onboarding team. The professional will collaborate with our PWM Sales & Business teams, as well as Legal, Compliance, Anti Money Laundering and other Operations teams, to facilitate account onboarding for PWM Clients while monitoring for risk, identifying fraud, External Regulatory engagement and ensuring compliance to Firmwide and internal regulatory policies. There will be a strong focus on providing best in class client service and subject matter expertise to our business partners and clients directly. The professional will also have the opportunity to be innovative by improving processes, reducing risk and increasing efficiency.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL:
- Develop relationships with PWM Business teams, PWM Compliance, PWM Legal, and other Operations groups to ensure that PWM Operations is providing the highest quality introductory experience throughout the on boarding process
- Ensure that all client documentation required by the Firm’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) is received, reviewed, and approved within the appropriate timeframes in line with AML and Know Your Client requirements
- Employ your KYC, AML skillset in your role in the firms first line of defence (1LOD) to ensure the Firm meets its regulatory obligations while also protecting the Firm from bad actors by identifying red flags during the KYC process.
- Review relevant client and Legal documentation, verify client signatures and perform regulatory and risk related exception processing
- Develop relationships within in the team to ensure the rest of the team are delivering a best-in-class level of output
- Escalate & resolve issues through coordination with PWM business, PWM Compliance, PWM Legal and other Operations teams
- Work with various teams, including the PWM business and Operations, on process improvement and strategic projects
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of prior work experience in a relevant field
• KYC/AML experience required
• Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
• Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interest in client service
• Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
