What We do

Our team is a fundamental part of the Prime Brokerage & Synthetic Products Group which form part of the Prime Services business within the Securities Division. We drive major business decisions and run business critical systems in the following areas: Client Analytics, Funding and Capital. In this entrepreneurial role, we balance our time between building large, scalable platforms and systems and providing analysis and advice to the Desk. Our team has a direct impact on key revenue streams for the group and provides analytics that help guide business leaders’ decision making.

Responsibilities

As a member of this team, you will be expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of equities markets and acquire in-depth expertise regarding revenue and capital drivers within the Prime Brokerage and Synthetic Financing business. Client analytics strategists are responsible for developing both external and internal client performance metrics across multiple dimensions of the Prime Brokerage business. These metrics serve as essential tools for senior management and facilitate discussions among clients, traders, sales, and strategists to determine optimal approaches for the business to optimize revenue, return and growth while meeting client needs.

You will be tasked with developing and refining client analytics platforms, including modelling and attribution of PnL, capital, and returns, to identify opportunities for revenue and return optimization at both the client and business levels. Additional responsibilities include participating in regular business activities such as pricing new clients and optimizing existing business, as well as designing, building, and maintaining the technology stack and data infrastructure that supports the Client Analytics infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters in a relevant field – Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or Finance
  • 1 or more years’ experience in a quantitative role
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Python or equivalent language
  • Strong understanding of advanced statistics and probability.
  • A track record of solving quantitative problems and delivering results in a high-pressure environment
  • Interest in data engineering and relevant infrastructure buildout, including data pipeline and database design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to pick up new business and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, demonstrate initiatives and deliver results quickly.
  • Ability to solve technical problems and explain the underlying ideas to a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge of financial markets is preferred. Understanding Prime Brokerage products is a plus.
