AWM Operations are responsible for front-to-back operational support to the Goldman Sachs Asset Management business in service, delivery, and processing functions across the trade, client, and product lifecycle. Goldman Sachs Asset Management provides global investment opportunities to a substantial and diversified client base including institutions, governments and high net worth individuals. Institutional & Fund Reporting Team in Tokyo, part of AM Reporting Ops, plays a crucial role in supporting Goldman Sachs Asset Management's business in Japan. The team is primarily responsible for leading all reporting operations for Institutional clients & investment trusts offered in Japan, creating and distributing various reports accurately and timely to our clients, distributors and other stakeholders. This function covers a wide range of products and requires close collaboration with the business team and portfolio management team. As part of the team's strategy, the team strives to provide systematic solutions for reporting needs, aiming to deliver the highest standard of client experience through promoting automation and strengthening associated risk management frameworks.
The primary responsibility includes:
- Support reporting across both investment trust and discretionary mandates. Develop an understanding of product features and client requirements, and work closely with business teams to contribute to the delivery of clear, accurate, and client-ready deliverables.
- Gain exposure to a broad range of investment products and client segments, building foundational knowledge of reporting standards, client needs, and operational processes. Collaborate with Sales, Portfolio Management, and other stakeholders to support client-focused activities.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and finalization of various reports for domestically offered investment trusts. Support the execution of publication and distribution processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all deliverables.
- Develop analytical capabilities through working with data sources, calculation methodologies, and operational workflows. Contribute to identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, and support automation and efficiency initiatives using internal tools.
- Support the maintenance of governance, data integrity, and transparency across reporting and RFP deliverables. Appropriately escalate issues and risks, and actively contribute to resolution efforts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Portfolio Management, Compliance, Sales, and Operations, contribute as a team member to effective operations and continuous process improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of experience in financial industry.
- Basic knowledge of financial products, financial terms, and finance in general
- Microsoft Excel skills, at a level where functions can be appropriately utilized.
- Ability to efficiently process large volumes of data, filtering, combining, and extracting for specific reporting needs.
- Attention to detail and the ability to provide practical solutions within tight deadlines under pressure, and to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness and ability to actively adopt and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Awareness of risk management.
- High collaboration, team-oriented mindset
- Native Japanese, Basic English proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience any in disclosure, reporting, RFP at an asset management company
- Knowledge and skillset of portfolio analysis.
- Experience with low-code platforms, BI tools, or AI application.
- Fluent in English
