Job Duties: Associate, Trading with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Responsible for making prices and executing trades in asset classes such as equities, commodities and foreign exchange, usually dealing on behalf of, or for the benefit of, the firm's clients. Responsibilities may include changing & executing orders, managing risk of related books, and building relationships with sales, operations, engineering and structuring teams to facilitate premiere client experience. Conduct in-depth market analysis and company / asset level due diligence. Structure and price transactions as part of collaborative team. Work with Global Trading desks to identify potential transactions and clients across various industries and products. Work with senior team members to proactively pitch and originate new transactions and build relationships with clients and advisors. Develop term sheets, marketing materials and internal committee presentations and produce detailed financial models, scenario and credit analysis. Work with control side personnel during execution to ensure transaction approval and support.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field and Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: managing portfolio risk, making trading decisions, and executing and improving trading strategies; programming, developing algorithms, performing data analysis on large financial datasets, and building quantitative financial models; and modeling and trading ETFs (exchange traded funds), ADRs (depository receipts), and futures.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York based position is $156,000 - $208,000.
