Job Description Goldman Sachs Asset and Wealth Management oversees $3.6 trillion in assets under supervision across a wide range of asset classes, geographies and vehicle structures to offer relevant, value-added investment solutions and strategies to our global, diverse client base.

Global Product Strategy is a growing and dynamic team located around the world who are responsible for overseeing, managing and shaping the investment product range for the Asset Management division, focused primarily on public markets. The team consists of Product Development, Product Strategy & Research, and ETF Product Strategy & Development who partner with each other and across Asset Management’s Client Solutions Group and Public Investing organisations to evaluate and shape investment strategy and design, differentiate product positioning using competitive intelligence, adhere to regulatory and governance requirements and establish go-to-market messaging and planning for new and existing products. The team serves all client segments across wealth, institutional, consultants, insurance, liquidity, and retirement channels. The team specialises in registered, pooled product vehicles mostly comprised of public securities but also helps facilitate and support initiatives for separately managed accounts, private funds, and public/private products.

We are looking for a Vice President to support our International ETF Product Strategy and development efforts in London.

Responsibilities

  • Executing on the strategic roadmap for ETFs as well as the end-to end product design, development, launch and ongoing oversight for ETFs in partnership with the broader Global Product Strategy team.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to prioritise and efficiently execute on new ETF product ideas that leverage the firm’s investment capabilities and best thinking, drive scale and address meaningful and measurable client demand.
  • Developing and communicating ETF product proposals and strategic ETF platform updates for senior management, boards, and internal governance committees.
  • Technical project management of new product design and structuring, changes to existing ETFs, evaluating, and identifying new product opportunities, as well as helping drive and oversee infrastructure requirements for broad ETF product initiatives (working with capital markets, investment teams, distribution, legal, tax, compliance, fund services, finance, operations, etc.)
  • Facilitating ongoing product management to ensure the ETF product suite remains competitive, is properly positioned to address commercial growth opportunities, and in compliance with latest regulations.
  • Keeping abreast of major developments in the industry (i.e. regulations, tax, competition, etc.) that create new opportunities or challenges to our business. 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree, CFA or MBA preferred, 5+ years of financial industry experience with specific experience in ETF structuring required.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ETF industry, client channels, capital markets, vehicle mechanics and infrastructure requirements through previous experience in ETF product development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others across all levels and functions.
  • Proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic, strategic mindset, and commercial perspective.
  • Strong technical skills including high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with industry data, vendors, operating models, etc.
