Corporate Treasury manages the firm’s liquidity, funding, capital and allocation of financial resources to align with the firm’s overall strategy and minimizes interest expense through liability planning, asset liability management, and liquidity portfolio yield enhancement. Corporate Treasury is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong quantitative analysis skills and risk management capabilities. Working in the Corporate Treasury division, you will have exposure to all aspects of the firm, including new business activities and critical strategic programs.

Corporate Treasury is looking for an Associate to join its Liquidity Explain, Attribution and Projections teams (LEAP) team in London. The team is responsible for measuring and explaining the firm’s liquidity position and funding consumption on a daily basis to facilitate liquidity, funding and asset liability management decisions

Job Description: 

  • Explain and attribute liquidity drivers across divisions and funding channels to help make funding and liquidity management decisions
  • Explain drivers of key internal and external liquidity metrics with the goal of: 
    • Informing the business planning process
    • Allowing Treasury to optimally deploy excess liquidity
  • Empower various stakeholders to more efficiently manage and be accountable for their impact on firm liquidity
  • Partner with Engineering to create automation and workflows to increase efficiency and sustainability, which involves working with large datasets
  • Create presentations related to funding and balance sheet for discussion with the Board of Directors, senior management, and regulators

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and balancing multiple priorities
  • Excellent analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented analyses and effectively communicate conclusion to senior management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau
  • Functional understanding of financial institution liquidity, capital, and balance sheet metrics strongly preferred
  • Commercial focus, ready to take ownership and accountability, organizational/prioritization skills, proactive, ability to multitask
