Role summary

Support end-to-end measurement of marketing events by building clean datasets, calculating ROI and influenced pipeline, and producing clear, timely insights that guide investment decisions. Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to standardize attribution, improve data quality, and surface actionable recommendations that reduce cost per outcome and scale impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Compile and QA event data across registration, attendance, engagement, and follow-up touchpoints; maintain clean, deduplicated contact and account records.
  • Build standard dashboards and weekly/monthly reporting for event performance: volume, conversion funnels, cost per lead/opportunity, influenced pipeline, and ROI.
  • Apply agreed attribution models (e.g., first-touch, last-touch, multi-touch) and campaign influence to quantify the contribution of events to pipeline and revenue.
  • Track budgets and actuals for each event; align costs to outcomes and surface variance drivers and savings opportunities.
  • Run pre/post event analyses: audience fit, channel performance, content effectiveness, and sales follow-up velocity.
  • Define and manage UTM standards and source/medium consistency with Marketing Operations for reliable cross-channel measurement.
  • Build simple forecasting models for expected registrations, attendance, meetings set, opportunities created, and pipeline influenced.
  • Partner with Sales on lead disposition, SLA compliance, and conversion bottlenecks; recommend improvements to handoff and follow-ups.
  • Produce concise readouts with recommendations: continue/stop/optimize, target segments, messaging, and channel mix.
  • Contribute to playbooks and templates: KPI definitions, report specs, data dictionaries, and event postmortem templates.
  • Support compliance best practices for consent, preference management, and data handling with guidance from Legal/Compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, business, economics, marketing, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0–2 years in marketing analytics, sales operations, finance, or event reporting (internships welcome).
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (pivot tables, lookup functions, basic modeling) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation (e.g., Salesforce Campaign Influence, HubSpot, Marketo, Cvent) and basic SQL or query tools a plus.
  • Understanding of core marketing metrics and concepts: attribution, funnel conversion, cost per lead, pipeline coverage, ROI.
  • Strong attention to detail, data hygiene discipline, and clear written communication for nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Nice to have: experience with GA4 attribution, Python or R for analysis, and knowledge of privacy and email regulations.

Tools you may use

  • CRM and campaign tools: Salesforce Campaigns and Influence, HubSpot or Marketo.
  • BI and analytics: Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, GA4.
  • Productivity: Excel or Google Sheets, collaborative documentation.
