EQUITY RESEARCH
Equity Research focuses on company-specific research and analysis. Industry and sector teams analyze companies in the stock markets of the region to develop investment ideas. These sector teams also work with macro, quantitative and derivatives research teams to identify investment ideas.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with the Senior Analyst and other members of the Regional Banks & Consumer Finance team, the goal of the Business Analyst / Associate is to:
- Build strong industry knowledge of the regional bank and Consumer Finance sector
- Write reports/notes on companies under coverage and assist in the expansion of covered companies
- Contribute to the generation and execution of investment ideas
- Interpret data and perform analysis on market, economic and technology trends
- Develop financial models, leverage artificial intelligence to increase the teams operating efficiency
- Communicate with the equities sales force and traders, clients and company management teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-4 years of experience in investment research, financial modelling and analysis
- Working knowledge of accounting, finance, and valuation
- Demonstrated interest or previous experience in the banks / consumer finance sector
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Comfortable taking initiative and being resourceful/entrepreneurial
- Ability to multi-task and work with numerous teams
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to work with large data sets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel; use of AI tools a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong team orientation
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
