JOB SUMMARY
The Americas Equity Research Management team is seeking an Associate to support Senior Management across a range of activities to ensure that the organization functions effectively. The candidate will assist the leadership team manage day to day operational tasks and priorities to inform the Senior Management decision-making to improve and grow the organization. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to manage commercial initiatives and implement process improvements across the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work directly with and support the equity leadership team to manage the business and focus on key initiatives (both idea generation and execution) to drive growth
- Assist with business initiatives, senior management presentations, regulatory requests and responses to market events
- Aid in departmental strategic decision making and planning
- Maintain departmental data files and track/pull KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis (incl. capital markets support)
- Contribute to recurring business reviews & reporting to update senior leadership on all key initiatives
- Participate in Investment Review Committee discussions and Conviction List meetings and help generate investment ideas
- Aid in expense management for the department: identify and drive cost management / reduction initiatives and the cost monitoring process
- Analyze processes to identify automation, risk mitigation, and process improvement opportunities
- Managing all internal communications on behalf of Senior Management / Global organization, such as department updates, regular postings, speaking points, etc.
- Communicate and collaborate closely with global stakeholders across the firm
- Lead campus recruiting, lateral recruiting, and internship programs in coordination with HCM
- Partner with hiring managers to define needs, build robust talent pipelines, and shape hiring strategies
- Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with high-potential candidates, fostering genuine connections and understanding their motivations and career aspirations
- Professional development and management of juniors: work closely Business Unit Leaders to ensure that analysts receive timely and required development opportunities
- Management, hiring and staffing coordination of administrative assistants
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience at an investment bank, consulting firm, asset manager, or in a corporate strategy role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, management, economics or a related field
- Basic understanding of Equity Research & the markets with a desire to build in-depth expertise
- Experience in people or project management ideally in professional development/staffing
- Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong judgment, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels (entry level analysts to partners)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and adapt to a dynamic and changing organization
- Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn about public markets
- A detail-oriented self-starter with a willingness to execute on various projects
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage processes at scale
- Ability to take ownership and independently leverage all resources made available to execute effectively and efficiently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous environment with a demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
