Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, driving a business-critical function focused on the firm’s future growth. As such, Global Marketing is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization consists of Corporate Reputation Marketing and business marketing teams, as well as center of excellence (COE) teams like paid media, research, and design. Together, these functions collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. About the Role

The Corporate Reputation Monitoring Associate plays a critical role in protecting and elevating the firm’s reputation across digital channels. This position is charged with maintaining a vigilant surveillance of all social platforms and the competitive landscape, leading all monitoring activities, identifying potential flags, managing the reporting process, and surfacing relevant platform and competitive trends.

This ideal candidate is a highly motivated and inquisitive social platforms expert who idles high. Ideally they bring prior experience in financial services (corporate reputation and institutional preferably) or a proven ability to immerse themselves in a new category and swiftly become an expert. They must exhibit strong judgement, good risk assessment, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail. 

They must be able to analyze and assess large amounts of information quickly, and proactively recommend actions to protect the brand’s reputation.

This role reports to the Global Head of Digital Marketing and Channel Strategy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Owns ongoing and responsive manual monitoring of all priority social platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Identifies potential flags across all core monitoring focus areas for the Goldman Sachs brand and select executives
  • Communicates findings clearly, objectively, and in a timely manner, including subsequent updates until issue resolution
  • Develops monitoring process and plan for Reddit, TikTok, and other notable or emerging platforms
  • Manages external monitoring partner(s), ensuring SLAs are met, scopes are executed, and all automated monitoring processes are run efficiently
  • Leads all corporate brand competitive landscape monitoring, including regular manual reviews of relevant marketing activity (owned, paid) among key competitors
  • Partners with the Effectiveness team to deliver a consistent cadence of social monitoring and competitive landscape reporting
  • Stays ahead of new reputation monitoring tools, partners, and capabilities, and develops clear points of view to inform stakeholders and broader team of relevant opportunities

Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of social media monitoring experience and deep platform expertise
  • Proven ability to operate with urgency, learn and adapt quickly, and strong command of the financial services category
  • Experience establishing KPIs, using measurement frameworks, and developing reporting dashboards
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to relay sensitive information to senior stakeholders clearly, concisely, and objectively
  • Demonstrable professional maturity, sound judgment, and discretion

Salary Range 
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
