Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted function that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

YOUR IMPACT 

The Account Management Group is seeking a professional who is looking to partner with teams across the firm as well as our bank relationships to maximize commercial and operational value for the firm. 

OUR IMPACT 

The Account Management Group (AMG) is responsible for managing strategic relationships with the firm’s network of agent bank vendors. The team’s goals are to establish, enhance and maintain these relationships to derive the maximum commercial and operational value for the AWM Private business. AMG leverages its agent bank network to develop creative industry solutions while ensuring the highest level of service quality and risk management. The team works closely with multiple stakeholders across the firm (Investment Accounting, Asset Managers, Legal and Operations) to accomplish its goals. The team has presence in Dallas and Tokyo. 

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  •  Support the team in proactively managing external agent bank relationships for GS to achieve the firm’s commercial and strategic goals. 
  •  Manage (including open/maintain/close) for Asset Wealth Management bank accounts. 
  •  Work with agent banks and internal teams to complete onboarding and periodic Know Your Customer (KYC) Due Diligence processes for Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries. 
  • Evaluate new business proposals to assess impact to account management requirements with agent bank network. 
  •  Escalate issues and challenges in the process and suggest procedural updates that can enhance processes / workflow. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills 
  • Highly detail oriented 
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively drive multiple business initiatives 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders,  both internally and externally 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Ability to support and manage inquiries, escalations, and strategic planning across multiple teams 
  • Familiarity with industry guidelines and concepts (e.g. KYC)
