The role is for a Corporate Lawyer to join the Legal Division working within the Goldman Sachs EMEA Corporate Governance Team. The team comprises a team of professionals based in London, Birmingham, Frankfurt and the Hague.
Your primary focus will be our Dutch entities including Goldman Sachs Asset Management B.V., an AFM licensed manager of AIFs & UCITS. Given the cross border footprint of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the role involves handling corporate law matters in multiple jurisdictions.
The role requires the ability to work independently from day one and to manage a diverse and complex workload meeting tight deadlines, across the various businesses Goldman Sachs conducts in the European Union, including new projects. Lawyers in our team work closely with a diverse group of clients across our private-side and public businesses and thrive on the pressures of delivering consistently high quality advice to dynamic and constantly evolving businesses.
Skills / Experience / competencies
- We are targeting Dutch qualified lawyers with good knowledge of Dutch company and civil law
- The candidate should have 4-7 years’ experience either in a law firm or as in house counsel of an asset manager or a financial institution

- Experience of regulatory analysis/implementation is useful
- We are looking for a team player who is dynamic and capable of working proactively with on a wide range of issues in a fast-paced environment
- The work will involve exposure to various businesses as well as to internal stakeholders on the control side and requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The work will be largely conducted in English, hence excellent English language skills are required
