The Corporate Communications team within the Executive Office of Goldman Sachs seeks to promote and protect the firm's culture, brand and reputation. The Analyst – Media Relations role is part of the Corporate Communications team.

We’re seeking exceptional candidates who can demonstrate an interest and ability to learn about banking, finance, and economics. You'll join a communications team with backgrounds in global finance, data & analytics, technology, media and public policy.

The Executive Office is a group of diverse teams that shapes the firm’s corporate strategy, culture and brand. Whether communicating with employees, managing our brand or articulating our strategy to investors and analysts, our work directly impacts how the firm is viewed by a variety of crucial stakeholders. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help develop and execute proactive communications strategies on issues at the intersection of business, technology, economics and public policy 
  • Use a research-based approach to advise on media strategies across various businesses and Executive Office functions
  • Contribute to media monitoring, analysis and reporting to provide timely updates and insights to senior leadership
  • Develop messaging strategies and execute on deliverables including talking points, executive briefings and statements
  • Collaborate with other Executive Office functions to handle corporate issues for the firm in a holistic manner

 

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of experience at a financial services firm, technology company, government organization or consulting group
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research and develop strategic solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to effectively manage your time, work across projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic media environment 
  • Understands the importance of timely delivery and tracking of news
  • Commitment to ensuring high quality of work that reflects a strong attention to detail 
  • Strong written and verbal skills with a demonstrable passion for communications and knowledge of the media landscape
  • Enthusiastic, high energy and team-oriented with a “can do” approach
  • Skilled writer with experience developing high-quality materials for internal and external audiences
  • A personal reputation for honesty, integrity and above-reproach ethics
  • Basic proficiency in Smartsheet, Sharepoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with media monitoring tools such as Muckrack, Memo, Factiva, Signal AI, Zignal or related platforms

Salary Range 
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $80000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
