JOB RESPONSBILITIES

  • Support GSAM China operations team both ongoing business and new WFOEs build out.
  • Day to day operation tasks including Client Onboarding, AML/KYC, Trade Support, Payment Processing, Cash/Position Reconciliation, Regulatory and Client Reporting, etc.
  • Partner with project team, contribute on new business(es) set up, operation model design and implementations.
  • Perform oversight of all operation activities supported by Fund Administrator and Custodian.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to launch new funds and any other business activities.
  • Identify gaps in processing and make recommendations to close those gaps.
  • Liaise with Distributors, Vendors and other stakeholders to streamline workflow wherever possible.
  • Act as escalation point to senior Operations managers for issue resolution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Over 3 years of operations experience in financial institutions. Relevant role in Asset Management, Banking and Securities firm are preferred.
  • Good understanding of asset management industry, business model, fund life cycle and operations processes. PE/QDLP products operations experience is a plus.
  • Business Fluency in English, Native level expertise in Mandarin.
  • Strong Finance/Accounting knowledge. Understanding of local regulatory and market practice.
  • Demonstrate ability to partner across product groups and functional responsibilities, strong communication skills.
  • Preferably has obtained the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC), fund practitioner qualification/license.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and to provide practical solutions.
