Job Duties: Associate, Credit Risk with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Assess credit and financial strength of the firm's financial Institution counterparts. Perform fundamental credit analysis of both quantitative and qualitative credit risk factors. Perform credit underwriting of lending transactions, contributing credit recommendations and support to the firm’s capital committee approval process. Perform credit underwriting of derivative and funding transactions while ensuring appropriate documentation and risk mitigants to protect against default and minimize potential losses. Approve transactions and opine on risk mitigation for Over-the-Counter (OTC) products. Assess risk of transactions through reviews of quantitative models, portfolio analysis, stress testing. Ensure appropriate documentation, risk mitigants, and limits to minimize defaults and maximize recoveries. Recommend and defend internal and regulatory risk ratings for counterparts/transactions.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Management, Global Management, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Management, Global Management, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: financial agreements including International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA)/Credit Support Annex (CSA), Master Repurchase Agreement (MRA), or Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement (MSFTA) agreements; regulatory risk rating requirements; financial modeling; and advanced Microsoft Excel including working with macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas.
