The Consumer Whole Loan Trading Desk (the “Consumer ABS Desk”) with in Mortgages Structured Products Trading is seeking an Analyst to contribute to the continued growth and success of the Consumer ABS business within Global Banking & Markets. The Consumer ABS Whole Loan Desk purchases & aggregates consumer whole loans with the intent of selling/reconstituting those loans via Securitization or Whole Loan Sale across major Consumer ABS verticals such as: Student Loans, Unsecured Consumer Lending, Credit Card Receivables, Auto Loans, Solar Loans, Home Improvement Loans, Equipment and Small Business Loans, and various others. Candidates should be expected to eventually understand credit, interest rate, and market risk associated with consumer loans. In addition, candidates will interface with various clients as well as GS personnel touching different areas of the consumer ecosystem.
The desk is looking for a candidate with:
· 1-2 years of relevant industry experience
· Quantitative and technical skills
· Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Candidate’s responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:
· Managing daily Risk & P&L position of the desk
· Working with different clients on various trading opportunities
· Collaborating with different teams within GBM including but not limited to: Investment Banking, Structure Products Syndicate, and Structured Products Sales
· Interfacing with teams within GBM that support the desk’s infrastructure such as Transaction Management, Trade Analytics, Asset Management as well as other Federation groups
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
