Your Impact

The Derivative Trade Processing-Reg Services team is seeking talented developers at an exciting time in both the evolution of the firm's Trade Processing strategy and the pace of change from regulators.

As the organization rethinks the way we source and distribute data, the regulatory reporting agenda is increasingly driving the design and the adoption of new architecture. You will work on complex, interesting projects, requiring innovative thinking, and involving all aspects of data handling, including sourcing, transformation, enrichment, transmission, and storage. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the full range of OTC Derivative products and banking regulations. Furthermore, the role is a prime position for building an exceptional network of the best industry minds from multiple engineering teams, plus Front Office, Operations, Change Managers, and financial product experts, allowing you to implement and support the firm's regulatory commitments.

Financial Regulators around the world continue to impose new regulatory obligations and evolve existing ones. In response, the firm continues to invest heavily in technology to meet these demands and protect the firm's reputation. Our team plays a critical role in developing processes to extract complex data from trading systems in a timely manner. The team is responsible for:

 - Working with the business to understand requirements

 - Modelling data

 - Sourcing data from trading systems

 - Transforming data using Slang and Java

We work closely with Front Office, Operations and Engineering teams across the globe. The team footprint is primarily in London, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, and is responsible for global coverage.

 

Responsibility & Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced developer who will play a key role in driving some of these transformational efforts from Bengaluru. Strong communication skills are key, we expect you to constructively volunteer reasoned views and opinions in different team forums, both technically and on how we’re performing as an Agile team. Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical field
  • 5+ years programming in an object-oriented language such as C++, Java, Python, C#
    Application development using relational or object oriented databases
     
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
     
  • Ability to perform complex debugging and root-cause analysis
     
  • Close interaction with business users to understand and help shape requirements
     
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience
     
  • Clear and confident communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

Banking IT experience, especially with OTC Derivative products, helpful but not essential.Full training will be given
