How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
You will contribute to a business-critical trading infrastructure by developing, supporting, administering, and consulting on the SecDb runtime environment. Working within a transatlantic team of experienced engineers, you'll engage in a dynamic mix of engineering and operational tasks, with a strong focus on risk management and continuous improvement of our service delivery tools. This role provides opportunities to directly collaborate with business stakeholders, gaining insights into derivative trading platform and contributing to solutions that address real-world business challenges. As a business-facing engineer, you will leverage your technical skills and commercial understanding to solve problems and drive business outcomes. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to learning, and a strong initiative. A solid understanding of Unix systems and a willingness to learn new technologies are essential.
Basic Qualifications
- Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- Min. 1 yr (for Analyst)/ 3 yrs (for Associate) of exp in programming expertise in one or more of the following: Python, C++, GoLang, Java
- Min. 1 yr (for Analyst)/ 3 yrs (for Associate) with software development on Linux
- Ability to handle multiple ongoing assignments and work independently, as well as contribute as part of a highly collaborative and globally dispersed team
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down and communicate complex issues, ideas, and solutions
- Desire to learn about the firm's business and willingness to interact with business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with storage and networking stacks
- Proven experience with all stages (inception, analysis, design, implementation, runtime, maintenance) in the lifecycle of large distributed systems
- Experience managing performance, availability, and scale for mid to large-sized systems
