Corporate Treasury
Corporate Treasury plays a central role in the firm’s overall strategy with responsibility for providing appropriate funding to support all firmwide activity while maximizing net interest income. The division allocates financial resources, raises funding and capital to support firm’s activity, and dynamically manages firm’s asset liability risk and liquidity portfolio. Corporate Treasury actively engages in public markets and with businesses across the firm, investors, ratings agencies and regulators. The division is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Corporate Treasury division is looking for an Analyst/Associate to join its Funding Execution – Structuring and Marketing team in New York. The team is responsible for creating and distributing structures and products that enable the firm to finance hard to fund assets, optimize funding book key metrics (e.g. cost of funding, maturity profile) and meet the firm’s latest financing demands. Areas of focus include: client and product diversification, interest expense optimization, funding growth facilitation, balance sheet optimization and RWA reductions. The desk works closely with other teams in Corporate Treasury and with sales and structuring teams in the Global Markets & Banking division. The Funding and Execution team works out of the New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo and has clients in the US, EMEA and Asia.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Structure new products to deliver tailored solutions for hard-to-fund assets or to address specific client and firm needs
- Engage with sales and clients to establish relationships, educate on funding products, and work together to find a structure that works for both parties
- Contribute to trade ideas with the aim of i) reducing funding interest expense, ii) reducing capital consumption, iii) improving firm/regulatory liquidity metrics
- Work with the legal and controllers on new trade structures
- Review documentation and trade confirmations
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Bachelors Degree
- 2+ years of experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Enthusiasm and strong work ethic
- Ability to manage cross team projects
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$140000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
