PRIVATE MARKETS INVESTING AND LENDING GROUP
The Private Markets Investing and Lending (PMIL) group in GBM deploys the firm’s balance sheet across a full suite of structured financing and risk management solutions across the private markets ecosystems. The Private Equity Capital Call (PECC) team provides innovative fund-level financing in the form of capital call / subscription facilities collateralized by the uncalled capital of a fund’s limited partners. The business forms an integral part of Goldman Sachs’ private equity advisory, lending, and servicing ecosystem.
Responsibilities And Qualifications
Goldman Sachs’ PECC business, established in 2012, has grown a $30+ billion loan portfolio, supported by a 10+ person deal team. The PECC Team operates in the Americas, EMEA and Asia, has team members in New York, Chicago, London, and Dallas and works closely with colleagues across all divisions of the firm (e.g., Global Banking & Markets, Asset Management and Consumer Wealth Management). Goldman Sachs is currently seeking an Analyst/Associate based in Dallas.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the PECC Team and client finance teams to advise and develop credit solutions within the Firm’s risk parameters
- Diligence private equity fund and sponsor track records, financials, LPs, PPMs, and LPAs across various strategies (e.g., buyout, real estate, infrastructure, etc.)
- Build and maintain borrowing base certificates and credit / financial models
- Evaluate the credit implications of complex structured loans
- Draft committee memos for loan originations, modifications, and annual reviews
- Perform ongoing regulatory compliance efforts
Qualifications
- Strong desire to work within the private equity/fund finance industry
- Relevant work experience preferred (e.g., underwriting, lending, commercial banking, private banking, investment banking, investor relations, private equity, and/or credit roles)
- Detailed knowledge of financial accounting and/or financial analysis
- People / project management skills and a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented and self-motivated
- Advanced Microsoft Office skillset (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
