The Global Banking & Markets division is looking for an Analyst to work within the Americas Securitized Derivatives Structuring & Origination team. The team is responsible for securitizing cross-asset derivatives, using on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet security wrappers. With a cross-asset mandate, the team partners with sales, trading, other structuring teams and control functions across the FICC and Equities, to deliver securitized solutions to our clients – institutional buyers and financial intermediaries – in the Americas. This is a fast-paced and broad-scoped product role that offers a unique vantage point from which you will have the opportunity to gain a front-to-back understanding of this business at Goldman Sachs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft term sheets, negotiate documentation, and coordinate deal execution for a broad range of structured products
  • Advise sales, trading and clients on Goldman Sachs’ capabilities for issuing structured notes and other securitized derivatives
  • Contribute to new product & platform development projects, such as: creating new issuing entities and wrappers, increasing our menu of supported payoffs and underlies, navigating our entry into new markets, and addressing identified platform risks.
  • Contribute to the development of tailored solutions for clients by analyzing regulatory, operational, tax, and/or accounting issues.
  • Cultivate relationships with third-party partners, and work with them to issue their structured paper into Goldman Sachs’ client channels; a function that will include establishing documentation and coordinating deal bidding and execution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related subject
  • Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in the financial services industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience working in a deal execution / management role with a focus on structured and/or securitization products

Salary Range 
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
