OPERATIONS

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted segment that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

OUR IMPACT 

The Asset & Wealth Management Division is made up of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) and Private Wealth Management (PWM) and brings together Goldman Sachs’ primary long term principal investing capabilities with the traditional money managing arm of the firm to offer a full suite of world-class investment solutions to the firm’s clients. 

Request for Proposal team is primarily focused on the coordination and completion of Request for Proposals (“RFPs”) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (“DDQs”) from prospective as well as existing clients. The Centralized RFP team will work closely with professionals across GSAM’s Client Portfolio Management teams (Fixed Income, Quantitative Investment Strategies and Fundamental Equity, Private Alternatives) and various sales channels to communicate information regarding the firm, product offerings, investment philosophy, and product-specific information to the client via RFPs and DDQs. The RFP Specialists team is responsible for project managing the RFP/DDQ requests by coordinating with the global teams and ensure we deliver a high quality RFP/DDQ to our clients on time. 

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES

• Drive team huddles, manage pipeline  and manage escalation to ensure we manage sales and product team expectations and deliver the RFP/DDQs in time with no compromise to quality and compliance standards
• Coordinate and complete high quality RFPs and DDQs from prospective clients, consultants, and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner. 
• Develop knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape and investment team’s capabilities to facilitate improved client experience
• Develop strong working relationships with client portfolio management teams, sales professionals, client relationship managers, compliance and other groups
• Learn and communicate the investment team’s investment philosophy, process, product positioning and current market trends to internal and external clients.
• Lead with strategic initiatives and projects including technology initiatives to automate BAU, Reports and other materials.
• Potentially manage people, help set goals aligned with organizational priorities and provide timely and constructive feedback to team members
• Assist in developing metrics to track key sales figures including RFP flows, win rates, etc
• Assist with performing second level checks for RFP’s, DDQ’s and 15C’s prepared by the Analysts on the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree (Preferred: Master’s degree of Finance, Economics, Business or Commerce, CFA)
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Must be motivated and hard working
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, personalities, and broad based coverage
• Knowledge and understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and adaptability to other software products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of the investment management industry and Asset Management operations is a plus
• Prior content writing experience of 7-10 years is preferable [For VP]
