JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with the Senior Analyst and other members of the Consumer team, the goal of the Associate is to:
- Build strong industry knowledge of the Consumer Beverages, HPC, Tobacco and Convenience Store sectors, including consumer behavior shifts and trends
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed financial models and perform valuation analysis
- Contribute to the generation and execution of investment ideas through verbal and written communication
- Write reports on companies under coverage and the industry, including quarterly earnings updates, company-specific deep-dives, and industry/macro trends
- Communicate with the equities sales force and traders, clients and company management teams
- Interpret a broad range of data (macro and micro) and perform analysis on market, economic and technology/automation trends
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic track record
- 3+ years of experience in sell-side research
- Excellent analytical skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements, financial models and valuation methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, and other market tools (FactSet, Reuters, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Strong team orientation
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
