This Vice President will play a key role within the Asset Management (AM) Marketing team, leading channel marketing, mainly in the Third-Party Wealth (TPW) client channel across APAC including Japan. The TPW client channel includes wealth managers, private and retail banks, and fund platforms.   

The VP work across the AM Marketing team to provide inputs for product campaigns, new launches and the broader commercial objectives of the business. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute channel strategies to drive business growth across the APAC region (including Japan), 
  • The role will support all clients channels with a significant focus on Third-Party Wealth (TPW) client channels, including wealth managers, private and retail banks, and fund platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, leveraging marketing capabilities to enhance their engagement and sales.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams and investment teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities through channel partners.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform channel strategy and optimize partner engagement.
  • Embed a strong culture of teamwork and communication across existing and new team members.

Marketing Implementation:

  • Execute strategic marketing plans tailored to the TPW channel, building awareness and affinity for Asset Management's investment capabilities.
  • Craft channel-specific product propositions and messaging to resonate with the target audience.
  • Working with global centers of excellence to deliver high quality localized activities.

Measurement and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Technology team to analyze the effectiveness of channel marketing initiatives and optimize impact.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and procedural guidelines for all channel marketing communications.

Team Connectivity and Partnership:

  • Foster strong relationships with other Asset Management Marketing colleagues, Global Marketing partners, Corporate Communications, sales, and investment heads.

 

Qualifications:

  • 15 plus years of experience in a similar role within a leading financial institution, with a focus on channel management or marketing.
  • In-depth knowledge of the asset management industry, including clients, products, regulations, and competitors.
  • Excellent written, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed strategic thinking with commercial awareness and business acumen.
