The Compliance Technology Office (CTO), is a centralized group within Compliance Engineering that performs the following functions: (i) unify and enhance core Compliance systems; (ii) implement, oversee and deliver strategic Compliance technology solutions; (iii) design, implement and coordinate global Compliance frameworks, and (iv) communicate strategic vision and current status to Senior Compliance Officers, Firm Management, and the GS Board. CTO coordinates Engineering budget, and manages, governs, delivers, and tracks new and existing technology initiatives, enabling Compliance and Compliance Engineering teams to work efficiently and effectively.
Position Overview: We are seeking a Technical Project & Program Manager. This person will play a critical role in the successful delivery of compliance technology projects. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Associate will work closely with Compliance officers, Technology teams, and Business stakeholders to define project scope, develop project plans, track progress, and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong project and program management background, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory environment. The candidate will likely be asked to work on multiple projects and programs, so multi-tasking skills are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Manage project and/or program execution, ensuring adherence to project plans and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Monitor project and program progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with Compliance officers, Technology teams, and Business stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns promptly and effectively.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and track risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Escalate critical risks to management as needed.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project resources , tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for project management within the Compliance Engineering team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Proven experience as a Technical Project/Program Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects and/or programs.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation. Emphasis on Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to synthesize technical concepts and/or the ideas of senior managers into concise, well-written presentations and documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
