EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION
The Executive Compensation team has a broad mandate spanning EMEA, with a significant role in shaping remuneration policy design, implementation and ongoing oversight across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory regimes.
Core responsibilities include remuneration governance, regulatory reporting, public remuneration disclosures, and managing relationships with our primary regulators in the region.
The team also leads other key activities such as determining and managing the Material Risk Taker population, addressing senior employee compensation matters and handling employee equity queries, as well as firmwide projects and initiatives arising from regulatory and global policy changes, and acquisitions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful individual will be involved in the following activities across various different entities across the EMEA region:
- Preparation / review of regulatory submissions, owning complex data reviews and applying analytical techniques to ensure accuracy and insight
- Determination of Material Risk Taker population with robust controls and governance
- Preparation / review of public remuneration disclosures
- Drafting responses to regulatory queries
- Preparation of materials for remuneration committee meetings
- Involvement in ad hoc projects, as required, to translate new remuneration rules and global policy changes into scalable, tech-enabled processes
- Identify automation opportunities and process improvements that enhance quality and speed
- Other annual executive remuneration processes
- Partner closely with colleagues in the Firmwide Compensation team and other departments such as Equity Compensation, Benefits, Mobility, Recruiting, Controllers, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit and Tax to deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be successful in performing and developing in this role, you will need to demonstrate exposure and experience in the majority of the following areas:
- Proven functional expertise in Executive Compensation practices and European remuneration regulations with ability to translate complex rules into practical, scalable designs
- Good communication and relationship management skills - ability to understand and articulate complex issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - an ability to review current processes and/or data, detect and correct errors, take responsibility for data quality, and have a solution-based mindset to work through challenges
- Project management - prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and consider requirements of Firmwide functions, divisions and regions
- Client service focus, notable responsiveness and a "can-do" attitude
- Strong judgment and escalation instincts - comfortable making calls amid ambiguity and calibrating risk, combined with a willingness to be flexible
- Advanced Excel and data quality discipline
- Thorough attention to detail
