AWM Operations are responsible for front-to-back operational support to the Goldman Sachs Asset Management business in service, delivery, and processing functions across the trade, client, and product lifecycle. Goldman Sachs Asset Management provides global investment opportunities to a substantial and diversified client base including institutions, governments and high net worth individuals. Client Reporting team in Tokyo within AM Reporting Ops consists of Institutional Reporting and Fund Reporting and has primary responsibility for all aspects of portfolio reporting for Japanese institutional clients as well as for mutual funds offered in Japan; create and deliver the various types of reporting to our clients according to client specifications with the accuracy and timeliness. These functions cover a wide range of clients and a complex product range, which include equities, fixed income, currency and derivatives, private equities, private credit and hedge funds, and partner with the business team and portfolio management team. As part of the teams’ strategy, we are working to provide systematic solutions to client reporting needs where possible and are thus partnered with the internal teams to strive for a higher level of automation and associated risk management controls. This involves extensive interaction with internal global audience across multiple teams and divisions to ensure effective oversight for existing business and also to shape and implement reporting solutions for new clients, products, strategies, and system architecture. The group continues to focus on best in-class client experience by delivering quality automation for complex bespoke reporting. 

 

The primary responsibility includes: 

  • Holistic ownership of client reporting with understanding of client accounts, investment vehicle, reporting requirements and deliverables as well as report-related infrastructure. 
  • Interpret and determine client reporting requirements from legal documentation and business discussions to support all client report-related events. 
  • Analyze the data source, calculation logic and workflow to determine the better solution of the report creation processes. 
  • Create reporting according to client and/or regulatory specifications across multiple frequencies. 
  • Provide governance and transparency for client reporting deliverables proactively review indicators of operational issues/concerns with the goal of resolving such issues before client impact. 
  • Utilize the internal reporting automation and delivery platform and realized the scalability to manage high volume of client reporting. 
  • Working in a multicultural/global and fast paced environment to automate bespoke client reporting leveraging self-help tool.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience of working in a financial institution.
  • Basic knowledge of financial products, terms, and finance. 
  • Comfortable in managing large data to filter, combine and derive specific reporting needs. 
  • Risk management focus.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure to provide practical solutions.
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented and strong consensus builder.
  • Advanced level Microsoft excel skills.
  • Fluent in English (speak/read/write) 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience of institutional or mutual fund reporting.
  • Preferable to have SQL / low code / BI skills
