Private Wealth Management (PWM)

Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

Goldman Sachs Trust Company

An essential component of Goldman Sachs’ private wealth management offering, The Goldman Sachs Trust Company, N.A. (“GSTC”) is a limited-purpose national bank providing world-class trust, estate, and charitable administration services to ultra-high-net-worth clients across the United States.

GSTC leverages the global resources of Goldman Sachs to deliver integrated fiduciary management and administration, as well as comprehensive best-in-class investment management.  Our team of dedicated fiduciary professionals collaborate closely with Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Advisors (“PWAs”) to provide our clients with superior service, while observing our responsibilities as an independent, professional fiduciary.

The GSTC New York City office has an opening for a Trust Analyst on its Investment Team.  The Trust Analyst is a key person in managing the ongoing investment experience for the client.  Typical responsibilities include the following:

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL 

  • Work closely with the Investment Officer in overseeing management of discretionary trust assets for GSTC clients 
  • Create portfolio rebalancing proposals for GSTC discretionary trusts
  • Coordinate investment implementation and rebalancing (e.g. trade entry, opening separately managed accounts, etc.)
  • Execute, process and reconcile trading and other investment related transactions
  • Analyze equity, fixed income and alternative investment portfolios for risk and return characteristics 
  • Research internal and external investment vehicles for client asset allocations 
  • Work in conjunction with various product groups within Asset & Wealth Management to respond to client needs 
  • Keep abreast of the latest events in the financial markets as well as GS research; relay this information to Investment Officer and other team members.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects for the Investment Team and GSTC
  • Prepare weekly/monthly management reports  and regulatory reports
  • Assist with onboarding and transition of new GSTC discretionary relationships

Our Private Wealth Management business spans the globe, with the following locations in the United States: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Miami (Florida and Latin America coverage), Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, D.C. and West Palm Beach 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field. 
  • Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
  • SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 required (must be obtained within three months of employment)

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States based position is $75,000 - $125,000.  In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
