Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset class investing group that sits within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment solutions customised to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of clients. These solutions bring together state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset portfolio design and implementation and reflect proprietary research and analytics conducted by the MAS team. With investment professionals across the globe, MAS invests or advises on assets for some of the world’s leading corporations, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, and foundations.
 
The MAS Operations team sits within Client Operations and has oversight of all operational aspects such as portfolio accounting, cash management, client reporting, whilst serving as the single point of contact for all operations related client inquiries for Multi-Asset Solutions clients. These functions cover a wide range of clients and a complex product range, which include equities, fixed income, currency, derivatives and alternatives. The group supports portfolio managers, sales and client relationship professionals by providing accurate and timely client account information and overseeing all aspects of operational risk across portfolios. This involves extensive interaction with internal and external parties to provide effective oversight for existing business and also to shape and implement solutions for new clients, products, strategies, and system architecture. The group continues to focus on best in-class client experience and works closely with the business to maintain and enhance client relationships.
 
The MAS Operations Client Service Team represents GSAM operations to our clients and internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Management. Tasked with the oversight of all operational functionals the role includes touchpoints with multiple stakeholders including the underlying client, external counterparties such as the Custodian, Client Relationship Managers and Traders. The team also works with Lead Portfolio Managers and other internal business teams to manage changes to existing client portfolio investments and resolve any queries that may arise

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL 

The candidate will be responsible for performing a broad array of initiatives, including the following:

  • Represent GSAM operations to our clients and other stakeholders, both internally and externally. 
  • Work with MAS Portfolio Managers and internal teams to coordinate and project manage changes to existing portfolios.
  • Develop an understanding and become a subject matter expert of the multi-asset class investment process, including operational requirements
  • Collaborate with internal business groups, internal operations teams, external managers, custodian banks, and MAS clients to streamline the investment process and operational support for our clients.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree required 
  • Strong project management skills including ability to organise and track multiple projects in parallel, delivery on tight timelines, and a hands-on approach to resolving issues
  • Must be able to handle multiple, complex tasks, prioritise effectively and be flexible as needs change
  • Excellent communication skills (including written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Highly organised, with attention-to-detail and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation
  • Ability to manage concurrent assignments in an effective and efficient manner
