Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Goldman Sachs Asset Management OCIO Team are one of the world’s largest OCIO providers. We are looking for a highly competent individual to join our business development team as an Institutional Sales Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior members of the team to develop and maintain relationships with prospects and influential external parties (Third Party Evaluators & Professional Trustees)
- Support senior members of the team in developing sales strategy for target clients
- Proactively service Third Party Evaluators & Professional Trustees to provide resolution to their various enquiries
- Coordinate and help prepare relevant materials, including: request for proposals, pitch decks & other marketing content / collateral
- Organise events and conferences, including contributing to setting the agenda of topics
- Conduct competitor/market research and analyses
- Develop & maintain target client lists
- Attend prospect meetings, as required
- Develop relationships internally across various GS Asset Management product teams, including Fixed Income & Currency, Equity, Quantitative Strategies, Alternative Investments, Multi-Asset Solutions, as well as other functions such as risk & performance, legal, compliance and operations
- Co-ordinate responses to internal requests for information, e.g. requests from COO team/ senior management
- Support the team in the maintenance of ‘clean’ prospect data and coverage in CRM systems
- Keep current on GS Asset Management's investment products
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- University graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience
- Self-starter with high levels of personal integrity and resilience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team player
- Fluency (written and oral proficiency) in English required to facilitate clear and concise communication with external and internal contacts
- Good commercial instincts and sales orientation
- General knowledge of financial markets and asset management preferred with an understanding of UK pensions markets
- Computer software abilities including spreadsheets, graphics and word processing Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) is helpful, but not required
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
