BUSINESS SEGMENT AND ROLE OVERVIEW
Capital Introduction sits within the Prime Services business to assist with our alternative asset manager and hedge fund clients meeting with investors and building their businesses.
The Prime Services Capital Introductions Team assists Prime Services clients with their asset raising strategy. The team follows a bespoke approach with clients from pre-launch preparation through growth to business maturity. Through supporting Capital Introduction captains in their client engagements, an analyst will build a deep understanding of hedge fund strategies (e.g. equity long/short, global discretionary macro, credit and quant) and their capital raising strategy. In addition, he/she will form relationships with institutional investors, fund of hedge funds and family offices investing in hedge fund strategies.
The team is global in nature and has a presence in New York, London and Hong Kong. It is an integral part of pitching, growing and maintaining our hedge fund client relationships and works seamlessly with Prime Sales and the broader Prime Services business to ensure the best client experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Prime Services hedge fund clients on their asset raising strategy
- Take part in dry-run presentations with new and existing hedge fund managers
- Provide market intelligence through conducting investor surveys and carrying out bespoke analyses
- Ongoing dialogue with institutional investors and family offices on the dynamics of their hedge fund portfolios
- Help organise Flagship and Regional Capital Introduction events, the largest of which takes place in Rome in June
