 How WILL YOU FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Develop, support, administer and consult in a business-critical trading infrastructure environment for Goldman Sachs China business. As part of a transatlantic team of highly experienced engineers running a large-scale global deployment, you will be exposed to an exciting blend of engineering and operational responsibilities, with a healthy dose of risk management. We are constantly developing and enhancing our toolset to assist in our delivery of a highly available service. The successful candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communications, a natural ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, and will be a self-starter with plenty of initiative. In-depth knowledge of Unix systems is a pre-requisite, as is a willingness to learn new languages and programming paradigms. 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • You will work on a diverse set of technologies 
  • You will work alongside our business counterparts and are exposed, daily, to their thought processes, allowing us to apply relevant technology solutions to the problems they face.
  • You will work alongside our Cloud platform engineers and who manage availability, latency, scalability, security and efficiency of services 
  • You will work with engineers from across the globe, in particular in Hong Kong, New York, London, Singapore, and India 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • 0-5 years of engineering experience. 
  • Prior experience in a Software Engineer, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, or System Admin role.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-directed, ability to prioritize and escalate issues
  • Willingness to collaborate with our business partners to understand and implement their requirements
  • Experience with software development life-cycle methodologies 
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)
  • Experience in infrastructure, network, service and application monitoring
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux environment.
  • Fluent English and Mandarin communication
