Our Equities Derivatives Settlements team is seeking a detail-oriented professional who is looking to collaborate with clients, sales, traders, legal and structurers to manage the firm's equities derivatives settlement cash flows and associated risks.

BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW
The Equities Derivatives (EQD) Settlements team supports cash flow processing, fail to pay investigations, client interactions and payment controls for the global equity derivatives market. The team operates in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that cash flow exposures are appropriately risk managed and handled in a timely manner. The team regularly interacts with other areas of the firm including Equities Sales, Trading, Middle Office teams, Client Relationship management, and Credit Risk managers. In addition, the team frequently interacts with Goldman Sachs’ clients across EMEA to facilitate the controlled settlement and reconciliation of upcoming cash flows.
The candidate should possess a strong control mindset and should be accountable for front to back risk mitigation and client service outcomes, including understanding and partnering on processes beyond the scope of their department. The candidate should have an understanding of derivatives and settlement processes and be motivated to develop deep technical expertise of equity derivatives processes and market conventions. The individual should be able to apply business analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve settlement issues and strive to become a key subject matter expert and a go-to person within their stakeholder community.

- Act as a Client Relationship Manager, partner with the Sales and Trading desks to offer best in class service to our external clients

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of industry experience, including support of equity derivatives products and/or payments processing experience
- Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal stakeholders and clients with differing levels of derivatives, settlements and equities experience.
- Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment.
- Understanding of risk and controls required to support derivative transactions and an understanding of industry and market trends that have potential to impact the business
- Ability to work in a high-pressure and time sensitive environment
- Proficiency in European languages is desirable given interactions with clients across EMEA.
