Analyst Software Engineer

The PWM Portfolio Accounting & Tax team within PWM Technology is responsible for client portfolio accounting ( taxlot and gain and loss calculations ) and generation of Tax Packages globally for PWM clients . The team is in the middle of an exciting phase to scale and automate our existing global tax platforms to create a next generation platform for proving platinum quality services to our clients.

As a part of the team , you would be working with a team of engineers to incrementally rearchitect the platforms with newer tech stack and also integrate with Goldman's big data systems to provide a high quality tax reporting solution for PWM clients globally  .The role would require you to have a solid understanding of JAVA applications, RESTful APIs, Kafka , Spring Boot applications, and Big Data systems and you be responsible for working on all phases of the development cycle from design to final production roll-out and post production support where applicable.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the various stakeholders, including architects and business sponsors to develop solutions for the PWM Portfolio Accounting and Tax platform.The contributions you make in your projects, through your innovation, engineering skills and software expertise will make a direct and immediate impact on improving the client experience for PWM clients.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in Java & J2EE frameworks.
  • Experience with working on scalable software designs.
  • Experience in Spring, REST services, JMS, Hibernate/JPA, JSON is required.
  • Experience in writing automated tests is required.
  • Strong sense of ownership, focus on quality, responsiveness, efficiency, and innovation
  • Experience in working with CI/CD, GIT, Jira methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience  with Hadoop/Big data/Apache Spark
  • Experience working with sql based database like Sybase ,Snowflake etc.
  • Experience with designing/delivering messaging-based solutions (e.g. Kafka)
  • Any experience with Advent Geneva RSL
  • Experience working on UX Technologies
  • Experience in Financial Services/Industry

  • Strong communication skills (in person, phone, and email).
  • Ability to multi-task and work against deadlines/priorities.
  • Sense of ownership and desire to take on an expanded role over time.
  • Eager to work with new technologies and apply them towards enterprise-level data solutions.

  • Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to deal with real world business issues.
