DIVISIONAL OVERVIEW

The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm.  CPM have 5 operating pillars. 

Finance & Planning supports the execution of the firm’s strategic objectives through the management of the planning process, firmwide reporting and analytics and insights into the firm’s business plans and budgets. They develop consistent framework for revenue division projections creating transparency, accountability and efficiency around projections. This pillar also includes the CF&O, EO and Engineering divisional CFOs, who are strategic finance advisors helping the firm and the non-revenue divisions achieve commercial financial opportunities. Product Finance is responsible for the overall governance and proactive management of the firm’s non-compensation expenses. Spend Management encompasses the functions responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third parties - advising commercial agreements and driving operating efficiency. Departments include Strategic Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense, Infrastructure and Transformation and Sustainable Operations. Operational Risk & Resilience drives firmwide Operational Risk programs along with second line teams and implements required changes within CPM. The Corporate Insurance & Advisory team in this pillar identifies, procures, and manages corporate insurance needs for the firm and its investing businesses. The CPM Engineering team provides engineering solutions that enable the firm to manage third-party spend, data and automation, plan budgets, forecast financial scenarios, allocate expenses, and support corporate decision making in-line with the firm’s strategic objectives.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity and are from diverse academic backgrounds. This role sits within the Spend Management pillar, within Product Enablement & Transformation.

The Product Strategy & Enablement team is a global team who enable Goldman Sachs to manage our vendor contracts and third-party risk actively and effectively, deliver supply chain effectiveness, travel & expense processing & enable Source-to-Pay activity through the platforms we maintain within our architecture. Through excellent functional, project, program, and change management skills, along with a bias for becoming the subject matter or technical expert and driving our strategic architectural vision, this team seeks to fulfil the vision of our clients and partners with employees across platforms like Ariba, S4, Concur, KY3P & Fieldglass. The Product Enablement & Transformation team work closely with senior leadership, process owners, Spend Management Engineering and our vendors to drive supply chain value and achieve Corporate Planning & Management’s objectives & key results.

This role, positioned within the Contracting Pillar, will serve as a Business Requirement and Test Lead for our CLM and Orchestration platforms. It requires regular collaboration with various functions across the firm, independent work capability, and interaction with senior professionals. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Business Analyst and Test Lead with expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms to manage and optimize vendor contract processes. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, business process expertise, and hands-on leadership in testing to ensure the seamless implementation and enhancement of the CLM platform. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements for vendor contract management.
  • Analyze and document existing vendor contract processes and identify areas for improvement within the CLM platform and process.
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements for new features and work with Engineering and Strategic Delivery Partners to ensure that the delivery of these requirements aligns with business objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and demonstrations to align stakeholders and gather feedback.
  • Design and deliver User Testing Strategy across CLM platform and CLM-intake Orchestration. Develop and administer tests scripts to validate that the product meets the defined requirements.
  • Support vendor selection, integration efforts, and ongoing platform configuration.
  • Create detailed documentation, including business process flows, user stories, and use cases.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and Engineering Teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption. 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy for the CLM platform, covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Lead the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee end-to-end system testing, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Identify, track, and manage defects using test management tools and deliver test status reports, dashboards, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Support post-go-live validations and ensure defect-free production rollouts
  • Constantly grow your knowledge and experience, staying close to industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Prioritize flexibility and a ‘how can we make this work’ approach to the most difficult problems to solve.
  • Communicate progress and relevant updates to project drivers, relevant functions and maintain key documentation of approvals where required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and Test Lead, preferably in CLM systems or enterprise software platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with leading CLM platforms with experience of implementing within Vendor Contracting preferred 
  • Knowledge of Ariba Invoicing, Ariba SLP, S4 HANA or similar Invoice to Pay and Vendor Management applications is preferred.
  • Have participated in at least one medium-large scale platform deployment project in Professional Services space. 
  • Knowledge on Agile change management and platforms like JIRA and Confluence or similar. 
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and proposing solutions.
  • Flexible and focused work ethic to deliver in a global organization delivering both organizational and technical system changes.
  • Strong analytical skills and bias for using data to make decisions and confirm/set direction. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with Cross-functional teams & present to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work across hierarchies and geographies, with flexible working style. 
  • Highly motivated with ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Financial Services industry will be beneficial but not required.
