The Office of Government & Regulatory Affairs
The Office of Government & Regulatory Affairs aims to advance the firm’s public policy agenda, promote constructive relations with governments and regulators, and serve as a source of information inside the firm about government and public policy.
This position provides the appropriate candidate with a unique opportunity to work with colleagues throughout the firm on matters critical to the firm’s relationships with key government officials, and to advance the firm’s commercial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work with the federal government and regulatory affairs teams to coordinate and help execute the firm’s strategic policy objectives and to identify current and emerging policy issues in support of the firm's legislative engagement and regulatory efforts
- Prepare and deliver briefing materials to senior management regarding meetings and policy developments
- Assist with the development and execution of the firm’s regulatory, state and federal engagement initiatives
- Draft and edit written materials for internal and external audiences, including briefing memos and presentations for executives, summaries of legislative, political and regulatory developments
- Track and analyze policy issues as they advance through governmental bodies and work with internal partners to determine the impact to the firm
- Participate in various trade association efforts to further the firm’s advocacy priorities
Basic Qualifications:
- Ideally 3-7 years of fulltime work experience (Analyst / Associate)
- Experience in a relevant field (such as government, political campaigns, law firm, financial services, consulting firm)

- Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate and political levels.
- This is an office-based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel required.
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Washington, District of Columbia, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
