We are looking for a dynamic, quick-thinking self-starter with a real passion for the financial markets, exceptional interpersonal skills and interest in a career in sales within our Liquidity Solutions Sales Team (Asia Direct) as an Analyst/Associate. This role requires a professional with strong communication skills who has the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and help successfully increase the sale of liquidity products by connecting with Corporates, Hedge Funds, Financial Institutions and Official Institutions.

Within GSAM, Global Liquidity Solutions is responsible for serving clients and driving sales via banks, corporations, broker/dealers, independent financial advisors, RIAs, retirement platforms, insurance companies, public institutions and asset managers. As part of Liquidity Solutions, the Asia Direct Sales Channel delivers comprehensive liquidity offerings to C-suite levels, treasury and investment teams at Corporations, Hedge Funds, Financial Institutions and Official Institutions of all sizes across the Asia region.
In this role (based in Hong Kong), you are part of a team dedicated to increasing the sales and distribution of GSAM solutions from money market and short duration bond funds to separately managed accounts (SMAs) and Mosaic (Money Market Fund portal).
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Support senior salespersons of client business team to identify and originate opportunities to help grow assets and market share for Asia business
• Assist with discovery of clients and prospects to understand their business and investment process to uncover investment/ cash management needs
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Product Strategy, Portfolio Management, Mosaic, Marketing etc.) to help facilitate sales/new business, including but not limited to arranging client pitches/ portfolio review calls and meetings, product presentation and content creation for thought leadership, Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Coordinate closely with Client Services, Legal/ Compliance, Operations to spearhead and manage key account onboarding to post-account onboarded client engagement lifecycle, and manage daily client queries/ follow-up materials and other CRM support activities across Asia accounts
• Deliver consistent follow up with investment professionals to advance the sales process and deepen client relationships
• Demonstrate organized, efficient and effective project management and communication skills on a consistent and timely basis
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Bachelor’s degree (or above) and 1-3+ years of relevant sales experience
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken & written) and English. Additional Asian language would be a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional time management skills to multi-task across priorities in a highly organized manner
• Collaborative team player whom can excel at developing relationship and trust across internal stakeholders and external clients
• Strong work ethics, highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial
• Interest in long-terms sales career and a passion for macro market/ fixed income and liquidity market
