THE FUNDING STRATEGIST TEAM
We are a global team of strategists driving major business decisions in equity financing by analyzing large data sets and building corresponding models. Areas of focus include internal carry allocation framework, funding cost and capital optimization. We calculate and attribute metrics to incentivize marginal trading decisions and to optimize the business efficiency globally. We are also responsible for liaising with Corporate Treasury, Liquidity Risk and other teams to model and project our funding requirements under different stressed scenarios to protect the bank and the franchise. All streams require close collaboration with the trading desks and business stakeholders.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong academic background in a quantitative field - mathematics, engineering, computer science, physics or statistics background.
- Strong programming skills in a modern programming language (eg, Python, JavaScript).
- Strong number sense with excellent attention to details. Able to preserve through highly complex data sets to understand business trends.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to drive outcomes quickly in multi-constrained and ambiguous business context.
- Interest in data engineering and relevant infrastructure buildout, including data pipeline and database design.
- Ability and willingness to pick up new business or technical knowledge.
- Ability to solve technical problems and explain the underlying ideas to a non-technical audience.
- Knowledge of funding, capital and financial markets is preferred. Business understanding of prime brokerage is a plus.
