RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Electronic Execution Risk
Electronic Execution Risk team is responsible for electronic trading risk management, including the design, calibration and monitoring of algorithmic trading controls.
The group works closely with trading desks including GSET Sales trading, Portfolio trading, Shares trading as well as Execution Strats, Legal and Compliance, Internal Audit and various other control functions. The role requires a combination of technical capability, risk judgement and knowledge of equity markets.
The team’s core responsibilities include:
- Design and calibration of electronic trading controls, including analysis of historical electronic trading patterns and changes to control environment
- Monitoring of electronic trading activity for disorderly trading behavior and control alerts
- Development and support of tools for monitoring the risks related to electronic trading
- Communicate trading risk analysis and control recommendation to senior management
- Assisting the preparation of responses to regulatory enquiries
- Providing governance and control guidance for new business initiatives and electronic trading projects
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in investment bank, hedge fund, or asset manager
- Familiarity with programming with Python and SQL. Knowledge of Q is a plus
- Major in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Financial Engineering
- Knowledge of electronic trading systems, risks and controls
- Deep knowledge with Asia equity market structure, key regulations, and exchange rules
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is highly desirable as you need to work with China onshore teams including regulatory inquiries
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
