OUR IMPACT

Our Financial Institutions Group (FIG) advises clients in the Financial Services sectors on various financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and financial investments. Key sectors in FIG include banks, specialty finance, insurance, financial technology, and asset and wealth management.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES 

  • Develop presentations and reports using industry research, mathematical models and statistical techniques for clients in the Financial Services industry on topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activities, equity positioning and corporate governance 
  • Research and use data, including statistical, economic, and financial data, to build proprietary financial models
  • Perform comprehensive analyses of financial transactions including pro forma merger scenarios, leveraged buyouts, public listings and financing alternatives using discounted cash flow, sum of the parts, public comparables and precedent transactions analyses
  • Analyze accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings and documents, financial projections and models clients and provide financial / economic advice 
  • Support live deal execution in the FIG industry, including due diligence processes, drafting legal documents with lawyers and potential buyers, organizing and attending deal and non-deal roadshows and liaising with other investment banks and parties
  • Support client dialogue by liaising with senior bankers and product experts throughout the firm to address financial, market, or economic problems
  • Interact with client management teams and working groups to execute projects, provide updates and advice

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, awarded May 2024 or earlier
  • Experience with modelling and financial statements analysis
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of multiple teams and autonomously
  • Ability to juggle changing priorities and a varied workload
  • Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
  • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
