YOUR IMPACT
Fees and Commission is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate large-scale commercial projects from initiation to completion. The role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex problems, align teams towards common goals and ensure seamless execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, adapts to shifting priorities based on business needs and is skilled in balancing multiple projects while maintaining quality and efficiency. They would directly work with exchanges, finance teams, technology teams and business partners to deliver business improvements and solve complex problems that will enhance Client Service and Firm’s PnL. You can be an innovator as a business specialist and project manager, developing and executing solutions to increase business profitability and efficiencies by leveraging AI based financial products/solutions, strengthen client relationships and further your career at Goldman Sachs. The person will build productive relationships with our Global Users, Engg and BI teams.

Operations is at the core of Goldman Sachs. Operations enables business flow for every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered. The Operations business partners with all areas of the firm to deliver capabilities to clients, provide essential risk management and, and enhance the firm’s PnL and reputation across all product lines and markets.
Fees & Commissions is responsible for collecting the firm’s income, fees, and interest and for paying the firm’s transaction expenses. Supporting both our client and proprietary business, the team uses data-based decision making to ensure the firm is profitable, strategic, and adapting to the changing market. Team responsibilities include accurate rate calculations across millions of trades, charge validations, reconciliations, direct money movements, cost allocations, system developments, regulatory updates, strategic system developments, and analytics on optimizing the firm’s PnL. We use data analytics and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and SQL to make data-driven decisions and suggestions.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Understand complex business challenges to determine the right design, structure, and platforms to deliver tangible business benefits.
- Provide thought leadership in navigating industry trends, changing client needs, business growth and dynamic regulatory landscape.
- Mentor and lead a team of project managers to help create a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Design, track, and develop technology and low code solutions to build appropriate architecture.
- Define project scope and required resources; set objectives and milestones; measure outcomes and their impact.
- Lead strategic cross divisional initiatives, deploying appropriate methodologies and governance tools, to drive timely, on budget and high-quality products.
- Mitigate and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across the lifecycle of a project, working to ensure practical resolutions.
- Exert influence and impact, to drive delivery, manage stakeholders and ensure the optimal solution.
- Engage in opportunities to review processes, analyze information, make decisions, provide recommendations, implement strategic changes, and monitor results.
- Apply process reengineering methodologies in executing strategies and tactical solutions.
- Partner with Business Intelligence and Engineering teams to develop capabilities for new process that would identify and mitigate risk derived from the combination of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Partner across regional and global teams to drive forward synergies and streamline processes to enable positive client experience, scale, and business growth.
- Provide reporting to senior leadership and produce insightful analyses of the business for management.
- Break down complex problems into steps that drive product development and release adopting the principals of growth from Minimum Viable Product [MVP].
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree as a minimum and 6+ years’ experience in Project Management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of leading large-scale projects. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities to drive stakeholder alignment.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, etc. PMP, Prince 2 certification are a plus.
- Be a strategic and analytical thinker, possessing strong problem-solving and data gathering skills, and able to provide creative & innovative solutions.
- Change management skills including definition of business case & scope, articulation of issues, challenges, risks, dependencies & solutions, status reporting and test execution.
- A proven track record of driving solutions and benefits delivery
- Significant experience demonstrated through empowerment, situational awareness, increasing transparency and conflict resolution on a large-scale program.
