GSAM Fixed Income
GSAM is a global leader among Fixed Income Managers and have been managing Fixed Income assets for more than 2 decades. Our model is formulated on the belief that sector specialist teams have a vested interest in success. Each team operates independently, identifying the best trade ideas and implementing them directly into client portfolios. Portfolios are driven by diverse sources of alpha, including both top down and bottom up analysis. Risk management is integral to our process.
Summary of Responsibilities
- We are seeking a Bengaluru-based individual to join the Fixed Income Risk Economics Team.
- Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Daily oversight of bond-level risk metrics (yields, spreads and durations).
- Working with vendors and technology to model fixed income instruments to ensure accurate risk metrics for reporting and portfolio management.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the risk model and fixed income financial instruments.
- Help streamline and enhance the performance attribution reporting process working in conjunction with the LPM community and Platform Commitment teams.
- Proactively identify and remediate underlying issues impacting the risk model’s performance attribution outputs by working with Strategists, Technology, Federation Teams, and Vendors.
- Improve the integrity and timeliness of risk metrics and performance attribution inquiry responses.
- Network and build relationships across Fixed Income investment teams.
Preferred Qualifications & Skillset
- Understanding of fixed income products and markets
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong “number sense” and analytical skills
- Focused on building flexible, scalable, and well-designed solutions for data integrity
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel (Knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, Python is welcome but not a must)
- Professional, dynamic & flexible personality
- A healthy balance of curiosity, humility, and assertiveness
