Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) is a global team with 100+ alternative investment product specialists across more than 10 offices, including New York, London, Hong Kong, and Bengaluru. The team is responsible for GS Alternatives fundraising across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, sustainability, secondaries, hedge funds, and liquid alternatives strategies. 

Team members work within their respective product verticals and collaborate across strategies to identify portfolio-wide solutions. They also partner with asset management investing, institutional client coverage, and wealth management teams. Professional development initiatives provide opportunities to enhance expertise across all alternatives investment products and to sharpen market knowledge from industry experts investing across the Firm.

ACF is seeking an events-focused analyst to join the global commercial strategy team, which is responsible for fundraising campaign design and management, product prioritization and client engagement across GS Alternatives. The analyst will focus on the planning and execution of client engagement at alternatives industry conferences and events. 

Responsibilities:

  • Centrally manage calendars for industry events and prioritize meeting requests and related logistics 
  • Develop a deep understanding of business priorities to maximize client engagement and specific interactions
  • Partner with sales advisors and ACF product specialists to identify and prioritize client meetings
  • Assist with preparation of meeting notes and speaker briefs for leadership 
  • Prepare internal presentations to debrief on traction at each event 
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, firmwide events management teams, and ACF product specialists to help plan and manage industry events
  • Work closely with the EMEA and Asia commercial strategy teams to ensure close coordination and execution globally
  • Responsible for any ad hoc tasks or projects as needed that would support the broader commercial strategy, ACF team 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of prior work experience
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Self-starter who takes pride and ownership in their work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure 
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $90000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
