Primary Responsibilities:
- A senior subject matter expert responsible for the design, development, implementation, and execution of change risk governance within second-line operational risk management
- Use subject matter expertise and industry knowledge to define a change risk governance framework for operational risk, which includes independent oversight and effective challenge to Business Units' change management activities
- Coordinate review, challenge, and/or reporting on second line inputs and outputs associated with established framework, policy, and processes
- Influence, oversee, or challenge other programs impacting change and approved change frameworks including their identification, prioritization, funding, risk and mitigation, and implementation of significant changes
- Providing clear and concise verbal and written recommendations and guidance to internal stakeholders on matters of change risk governance for operational risk
- Staying apprised of and advising on industry and regulatory best practices with respect to risk management and control frameworks
This role requires a senior thought leader that can liaise with a wide variety of senior stakeholders across the firm, both regionally and globally. Ability to develop, lead and manage risk management frameworks is necessary for this role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of banking or related risk management experience
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and extensive experience designing, developing, implementing and executing governance and oversight frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop effective presentation materials and lead discussion with senior stakeholders
- Subject matter expert in change risk and transformation activities
- Ability to work independently with minimal need direction and guidance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivery
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Quick learner who can thrive working as part as a cross-regional team and individually
Preferred:
- Change management experience, including project and/or program management
- Experience in process design
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $130000-$260000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
