Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. In the Controllers Department our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm’s business. Controllers also ensure that the firm’s activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets. The AWM Corporate Controllers are a group within the broader Controllers organization responsible for p&l, asset reporting and analysis, and financial and management reporting related to the Asset & Wealth Management businesses globally.
Responsibilities
- Develop a broad understanding of the AWM business and related products, data flows and accounting procedures.
- Assist with the design, coordination and implementation of technology-focused infrastructure/workflow uplift and automation projects across the AWM Corporate Controllers team.
- Liaise with Engineering teams to develop project plans, document requirements, coordinate testing and assist with project implementation.
- Coordinate with Controllers product teams across regions to understand, identify, and document areas for automation and enhancement.
- Liaise cross-divisionally and cross-functionally to determine data availability, data validity, and reliability for the incorporation into each uplift/build.
- Leverage internal self-service tools and firmwide applications to document and design workflows and system decision logic.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of professional work experience in public and/or private accounting
- MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word) required
- Strong analytical, organizational and communications skills
- Detail-oriented and pro-active, self-starter mentality
- Ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects under challenging deadlines while focusing on the quality of work delivered

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey, United States-based position is $85000-$140000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
