As primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals.

The AWM municipal team manages in excess of $150 bln in AUM on multiple platforms including mutual funds, separately managed accounts and institutional accounts.  The research team is currently a 9 person team that is charged with analyzing and surveilling the entire municipal credit market from high grade to high yield.  

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Review investment grade municipal bonds in order to help to assess credit-worthiness
  • Conduct surveillance of existing fund holdings as well as separate account holdings
  • Assist in credit prep work for client reviews

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years work experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience reading Muni Official Statements and Muni Audits
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong knowledge of and familiarity using excel
  • Rating agency or municipal buy/sell side experience a plus

 

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$170000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
